Es ist schwer zu beschreiben wie sehr Joel skaten liebt. Es ist eine solch innige und reine Liebe das alles andere unwichtig erscheint. In den drei Jahren die er in Österreich verbracht hat, hat er dermaßen viele Parts gefilmt, dass es sogar Mark Frölich lächerlich vorkommen würde. Seine Trickauswahl ist sehr natürlich, er passt sich seiner Umgebung an wie ein Boot in den Wellen. Sein Lächeln erinnert an einen Sonnenaufgang.

If the other was an animal, which one would he be?

J: Easy hes a Koala, hes hairy and cuddely and likes to drink and sleep a lot!!

L: Wahrscheinlich eine Skaterat aus der Grazer Gosse.

If you could steal one of the others tricks, which one would it be and why?

J: I´d probably  take his beanplant to blunt slides, thats a cool looking trick and scary to jump in to.

L: Haha keine Frage! Seinen fetten frontside flip. Mehr muss ich dazu glaub ich nicht sagen.

Which one of you skates closer to the curb?

J: Definitely Luki, theres a bit of an inside joke to that one.. I´m bad at back 180 nosegrinds and everyone says its because i pop too far away from the curb, still working on those!!

Whats the most annoying thing about (the other)?

J: That Luki has uni or some type of commitment and i just want to skate all the time haha, damn you for having a life outside of skating!!!! Nah i think he´s one of the least annoying people i have ever met, became such good friends with this dude and i can´t think of anything bad to say about him.

L: Schwer zu sagen, vielleicht wenn er etwas von mir filmen will, von dem ich nicht wirklich überzeugt bin. Sonst fällt mir momentan nichts dazu ein. Joel ist ein Gutmensch, im positiven Sinn!

Did you ever have “who´s gonna be more creative at the spot”-battles?

J:No, but we would often mess around on “almost spots” that aren´t really spots (and theres plenty of those in Graz). Those were some of the best sessions.

L:Nicht wirklich, jeder von uns versucht einfach sein eigenes Ding durchzuziehn. Wenn wir mehr als 2 Tage nicht skaten waren, kommt Joel oft mit neuen Spots daher, die er auf seinen Fahrradtouren durch die Stadt entdeckt hat. Meistens sind bei diesen “Spots” dann nur ein paar Sachen skatebar. Derjenige der  Bock drauf hat versucht dann halt was. Eigentlich gurken wir aber ohne wirklichem Plan in der Gegend herum und versuchen, das zu fahren was uns ins Auge springt. Spontan macht das Ganze halt doch mehr Spaß!

If the other was a song, which song would he be?

J: Damn man, Luki introduced me to a lot of good music and its tough to narrow it down to one song, i`ll go with WEED in my dream, just because he used it for his BALTER part song and i spent a long time editing his part and hearing that song.

L: “Men at Work-Down under” ,sorry Jöl aber irgendein Klischee muss sein.

J: haha i have no idea, i´ll just say Method Man because Luki likes doing grabs.
